We bought a porch awning, but it has no instructions. Figured it out, one pole in each sleeve, clips at bottom into bottom of poles and aluminum pole across from one side to the other on the inside....BUT...

It's not the right shape, it boldges out towards the front & the roof is very flat. It feels like it needs to be pulled upwards and outwards from the front.

Could the poles just be old, or are hv we done something wrong? It didnt help that the guys werent attached, so had to guess with those too. Also dispute the aluminum pole being fully tensioned, it just hangs & feels like that needs to be pushed up & out too, but nothing to make it do that...

Looking at that I'd say that the ends of the poles are too far out, as shown by the "stretch" lines up from the bottom of the door outwards, plus the roof end of the centre pole should be below the awning rail, not sticking up.
