Our friends are using our caravan this week .Only cold air coming from heating vents ,have checked fuse switch which is ok but they say the grey soft dial is floppy ( does this control temp of heating )Its an Avondale . Any Help Grateful!

Have they checked there is actually a heating element in there? If there is check it to see if its working.
Test meter or wire it to the mains directly if you know what your doing.

Gas fire not working, Sounds like it needs a proper service and find out why and make sure its safe.
