I don't know if this is any consolation to you but I have checked in one of my old 1992 Coachman handbooks. The nearest model spec I can find with the same size tyres and weights are the Coachman Mirage which had an unladen weight of 636 kgs. & 850 kgs. max. laden weight with tyre size 155 R x 13 reinforced. The tyre pressures are listed as 42 psi. but if you look on the wall of the tyre it should give you a maximum psi. loading which I think would be around 45 psi. This information is provided as a guide only so you still need to find out the exact pressures if possible.

Did this information help?

If you look here, you will see:

For tyre size 155 R 13
(Max Speed 100kmh = 62mph)
(load index)78      (kg)935 (PSI)35
(load index)82      (kg)1045 (PSI)42

(Max Speed 130kmh = 80mph = TOO FAST!))
(load index)78      (kg)850 (PSI)32
(load index)82      (kg)950 (PSI)39

So if your van is only 750kg, the top line best applies - 35psi will be ample for up to 935kg. A higher psi may make the tyre a little too hard, making the van bounce a bit more than you want....

well tyresafe reckon a recommended load of 765kg at 32psi
for 155Xr13 this allows for their advised 10% safety allowance

Three lines further down in the www.tyresafe.org link, the table shows 155/80/13 with a load index of 79, max recommended load 787 Kg, PSI 35 - of course, as labelled, this chart is for standard tyres - reinforced and light commercial are different and separate tables apply.....

Hello everyone a big thanks for you all trying to help with these tyre pressures. I did look at the spare tyre and it says on it max load 487kg max psi 50 if this makes any sense the spare tyre also says re-inforced on it. Carnt see that on the others so not sure if there normal tyres or not. But in relation to the caravan empty weight being 500kg and fully ladened being 750 kg is 32 psi ok ? or should it be a little more.

Hi Spellcaster,
for 750kg, set your tyres to anything between 32-35 psi - any softer, the tyres can overheat due to too much flexing and that leads (in time) to weakening and possible blow-outs. Too hard, and the caravan will tend to bounce about. The max load quoted on the tyre is for the tyre, but remember - your van load of 750kg is on two tyres, ie 375kg each tyre. You would only need to put in 50psi if you had 487kg on each tyre - meaning a van load of 974kg....

There is an important piece of information missing, that is the load index number that follows the size?

155/80R13 79, is a different tyre to a 155R13 78, as is the 155/80R13 83 Reinforced tyre.

So and for 750kg, 155R13-78 is 27psi
                  155/80R13-79 is 29psi
                  155/80R13-83 is 30psi
