well im caravaning in anglesey,(having a good time )and i saw the tesco delivery van pull on site, delivering food for the week to 2 tents. now that is service.only jealouse i did not think of it all that space in the car i could have used for shoes lol
------------- enjoy the present, because its a gift.thats why its called the present
Worth checking with the camp site if they allow first as one I was at couple of weeks ago wouldn't allow as they had their own costcutter on-site and so would breach their contract.
But ..... dont suppose meeting them at the gates would be a proble ...... lol
Think the caravan club have stopped this, think I read it in their magazine about it, they said you could collect it from the car park. I expect someone will correct me if 'm wrong.
I have have heard of this several times. I know from using the service at home that you have to book a time slot when you order. these people must have amazing luck or know something I dont , if they are able to guarantee that nothing as gone wrong and they are on site when they expected to be. However I would never do this ; the e njoyment of sudden stops roadside to but homemade sausages , hours spent at the Pick Yer own farm and negotiating a price for several mackerel with the man stood in his boat are far too important for me.

CC stopped it because people were expecting the warden to take delivery while they were out enjoying themselves.
Ha Ha your kidding! Some folks do take the P*** don't they?
Its a great idea for people with tents where car space etc is limited, for me, with a caravan it is easy to load up the van and the car boot before I set off, I did once stop a supermarket on the way though to shop.

Should imagine it would be very handy for motor home users as well. It would save them taking their accomodation to the super market

The Tesco van was trundling around the CC site at Pembrey day before yesterday, so they can't have stopped it at all sites!
