Hi all we have just had our first weekend away bought an abbey vogue 620. We also bought new car renault koleos which towed well. We had antics putting up the porch awning up but some kind people came to help. We had a lovely weekend cannot wait for next weekend. Just one problem had gas working night before then would not work this morning any ideas (and yes bottle full and connected).

Hi Sue
Have you checked the gas valve just in case it was knocked to the off position
Your fridge can run on gas why dont you try that if it works then that would prove you gas is ok you dont say what you were trying to light with gas every gas appliance in your van has its own isolator tap check them all to make sure its working
When was it last serviced and if you bought it from a dealer let them sort out one more thing have you got any smell of gas about as it could also be a hose Good luck
The 620 twin axle Vogue has an MPTLM of 1685kg and the heaviest Koleos model being the privilege has kerbweight of 1655kg so effectively your towing close to or above 100% .
Your caravan is really to heavy for a safe towing match although still within the cars limits it is not advisable to tow a caravan that when loaded weighs more than the towing vehicle
Hi we went through all this when we bought the caravan. We bought the caravan first then went to buy the car we were given recommended cars which would tow. The car company also checked what we could tow and said it was fine. I contacted the caravan dealer and asked again if the car was ok they said yes fine and that the 85% is only a guideline, so I remain confused.

The problem is you were speaking to salesmen and their knowledge is not always true. If you go to the caravan club you can get a free match service it will tell you if your outfit is good bad legal
