We have been considering getting a seasonal pitch as it would fit in with our work life better and give us greater useage. I know the difficulty will be finding one, there doesnt appaear to be that many near to us and we dont want to go far (we are in Cambridgeshire). We have looked on here and googled.

My big question is about the rules- from what I see, different places have different rules though. For example the place we really like (and are on a waiting list for) doesnt allow awnings to be left up but each pitch has your own water source. Somewhere I have just come back from the seasonal is just the pitch, so no water or waste and the awning is not allowed to be left up. Which made me think is there any benefit to that as youd still have the same set up procedure and only avoid the towing.

So what do you get for your seasonal money please. If it is just the pitch do you find it worth it if you have the set up everytime?

I get pitch plus electric from 1st March to 31st October plus winter storage.  My awning can stay up but we have to disconnect the electric hook up.  Also get free fishing (3 lakes).  As the site is open all year, we can go out of season, although we have to pay the nightly rate then.  Last year we went between Christmas and New Year and really enjoyed it - just put up a porch awning for coats etc. 

Personally, I wouldn't go seasonal if I had to take the awning down as the main advantage is being able to just go and have everything ready for me, especially with the weather we have had this season.  I know some people worry about possible wear to the awnings but I feel that any depreciation on the awning is worth it for the convenience. 

We couldn't justify a seasonal cost just so we could leave an awning up so we use the storage facility at our local C&CC site, they tow it to a pitch of our choice and level it then put it back into storage when we leave.

This way we get to choose a different spot each time so never get the same neighbours, have different views and can pick the sunny pitches as they vary throughout the season, we just have to plug the ehu in and fill the aquaroll.

We've bought a roll out fiamma which we use for storing the chairs/bbq under which takes 5 minutes to set up and that's if we're slow, we occasionally put a normal awning up if we're there for a week but to be honest we prefer the canopy.

We pay £200 for the season then £12 per night of any stay for both of us inc ehu, 4 dogs and an awning if we choose.

Another plus point is the fact we can take it off site for a holiday elsewhere without the guilt of having already paid a fortune to put it on a seasonal pitch.

we are on s seasonal pitch for the first time this year. We are allowed to leave our awning up, the site is open 10 months of the year. We pay extra for electric. We have used our van so much more this year as its only 45 mins away from home so sometimes will just go overnight.

I agree with other posts if i could not leave my awaning up it would not have the same appeal as the advantage of seasonal is not having the setting and packing up element.

We love it for convenience also my parents will use during the week when we are at work so really have got our money's worth plus i dont have to tow as i hated it but love caravanning so best of both worlds for us!
