Has anyone got an opinion on Ace caravans in general, or Ace Supreme Globestar in particular (2007). I am going to view one for sale on Ebay on Sunday. I had wanted a Bailey Louisiana, but there are none local to me, so am going to try to compromise.
Had a look at both via video the Louisianna is a fixed bed. The Ace did not have one,
The shower part of the Ace seemed smaller than the Bailey. But could of been camera angle. Both of these are very much alike and if I could have half of one then half of the other now that would be very good. But listening to a lot of people thye do like the fixed beds part. But its up to you in the end.
Have an enjoyable time in whatever you get.

My friend has a 2006 Ace he has had from new, and had no major problems except for charger, so i would take a multimeter and check the charging volts when on a mains hook-up as this has been a common fault with them .A new genuine charger from swift is expensive but you can get them repaired or replacement by advertisers on E-Bay.Ace are manufactured by Swift so no problem obtaining most parts if required.I have had several Swift vans also with no problems
Hi we had an 2006 ace jubilee from new, never had a problem with it untill last year when the front panel started to crack in several places around where it joins the awning rail. Weve looked at a few others that also seem to have this problem as well so check carefully
My mum has a 2007 since new, they love it, if it's ok go for it.

In the end we didn't feel comfortable buying privately as there seem to be so many pitfalls unless you know what you're talking about. So..............we went to Lowdham Caravans and have bought an Abbey Vogue 2 (620). Being delivered next Friday....soooo excited.
