tbh for most of the nickable stuff you would have to live locally to make it worthwhile (fuel costs ) in which case you would already know where had open vans iyswim
Even the caravans inside SY Caravans have items pinched from them.
One van i looked in had no cooker knobs or shower head, when i asked the salesman if they were taken off to stop them getting pinched, he told me the reason they weren't there was because they already had been!
He also said they now remove jockey wheels (as these were regularly stolen) and in the past they've even had whole toilets taken!
You would be suprised what gets stolen from showground van, appliance knobs, fire fronts ,radios, clocks, toilet cassets, a dealer i do some work for caught someone wandering of with a bio fold shower door, another that i was doing a PDI on, some kind person had taken a dump in the toilet.!!
You mentioned South East, I purchased a Bailey from Michael Jordan's at Gomshall (near Dorking), a fe years ago and all their caravans were unlocked to look round. They hav a massive stock of new and used , spent about 4 hours there, even had lunch in their cafe!

I was told this too, there are now signs on the loos in the vans in the dealers near us that say please do not use the toilets, and they are taped over, honestly who would use a caravan toilet in a caravan dealers!!
