I think the post heading speaks for itself. Me, OH and 3 children are setting off for our 14 days main holiday. Staying at music water campsite along with the in-laws and OH brother and family. It's been booked since January and I'm soooo excited. Has anyone stayed there before. The reviews are extremely good and as we are travelling through the night the owners have said we can pitch as soon as we get there. Not sure of which route to take for the best so any advice would be great. We are leaving from Durham so its going to be a long hike for us all but I'm sure it will be worth it. If there are any of you on the roads I'm sure you will spot us, convoy of 2 cars with vans and another car with trailer
Crikey, that's a drive & a half...!!!
Have a safe journey & a really really great time.
Toot your horn as you pass Lichfield & I'll waggle a toe back from under the duvet. :-)

Greetings,
The only bit of advice route wise is to turn off the M5 after the Exeter Services onto the A30 and follow that to Bodmin.
From there its off onto the A389 thru Bodmin, skirting Wadebridge and onto the A39 down to your chosen campsite.
I suggest that route rather than the A38 thru Plymouth and the Glynn Valley because, (and this isn't intended to put a dampener on your much anticipated hols), The A38 thru the Glynn valley was flooded today and I can't remember the last time that happened.
Look at it this way. It's been persisting it down for the last few days. Its got to dry up some time.
Have a good holiday.
------------- How come when some people visit the fountain of knowledge, they only gargle!!!
We are currently sat in a service station jam packed with caravans so the drivers can have a sleep. Left Durham at 11pm and according to the Sat nav we still have roughly 3hrs to travel. We have made a few stops as there is a 7wk old baby amongst the tribe that needed to be fed. All I can say is thank goodness I have a tray of fosters in the van for when we finally do arrive. The services we r at are off the M5 :)
We came back from Hayle in Cornwall yesterday. It only took us 9 hours!!!! Everything that could have happened on the A30 did happen!
Well worth it though and have already booked for next year. The weather was great apart from the last 3 days when we have 25MPH winds and rain. The caravan felt more like a boat!
Weather is meant to improve on Sunday though
Enjoy your hols I'm very jealous
