Hi, we have just returned from our holidaly.
Sadly, we had a disaster with our Kampa Rally awning.
Despite straps, double pegging and extra poles, the awning managed to break free. It took 4 people to try and hold it, sadly the poles smashed one of our front windows and badly damaged another. It also dented the inner of the door as it was open at the time.
Two of the windows will need replacing but I am now worried that the 3rd will look odd? We have C&CC insurance so I'm hoping for a smooth claim!!
Bit of a cloud over the holiday but it could have been worse!!
Are the linings for the door readily available as a noew door will look against our van I think??
Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear your news. We have the same awning as you and although it survived those storms back in June I was worried it might break free one night when the winds were really bad in Devon. At least you have club insurance and hopefully it will all get sorted as soon as possible. I still like the Kampa and don't see us going back to a full awning as its lighter and easier to put up and ideal for a 1-2 week break or weekend.
Keep us updated!
Darren

We've just returned from Damage Barton in Devon and have never experienced such horrendous high winds. We saw at least 7 awnings take off, poles snapped and how the tents survived 2 of the nights was beyond us.
