Hi!

Had our 2007 Bailey Ranger 500/5 for two weeks now, delighted with it! Picked up on Saturday, drove to Cornwall for a two week stay on Sunday!

I have a query about the awning size. Bailey state it is 953cm (I think).

I've seen a full size 965cm Bradcot awning on fleabay. Will this fit?

Also, Isabella awnings seem to be 950cm. Will this leave me 3cm short?

Cheers,

ADL.

Hi, new to caravanning as well.

We were not sure what size awning to buy but this website had some great advice.  We bought a Dorema in the end and we are pleased with it.

Awning Sizes

Hope you enjoy your new van as much as we are enjoying ours!

Thank you AJL.

Looks like a 965cm awning maybe to big. (The link you provided doesn't give details on Bradcot sizing). I have however, just found a link on the Bradcot site, they recommend a 945cm awning, which maybe sounds too short?

Link

Perhaps I'll give the 965cm one a miss... (not much of a bargain if it doesn't fit?)

Sorry, didn't think about the fact that it didn't mention Bradcot 17

Defo not a bargain if the one on e-bay doesn't fit!

NP!

Found this post on here, (Search), that suggests a Bradcot awning measuring 960cm will "cater for anything from 946 to 975cm which then gives you a bit in hand if ever you pitch on a sloping site, which no doubt you will sooner or later."

The one I'm looking at is 965cm though, not 960cm

Come on seasoned caravanners, please give me some advice!

I have a Bailey 550/6 and when i wanted to purchase an awning i rang the local dealers who all gave me the awning size and i picked up a bargain from lowdhams because they take all the awnings out of the vans they take in part x and sell them on. So just find out if any dealers have the size you want and make em an offer! go low aswell cus it's money for old rope to them.

I'll take a look at Lowdhams, thanks for the heads up. I got a great price on a second hand porch awning from Glossop Caravans...

Unfortunately, the fleabay awning turned out to be a 940cm awning, which is too small for the Ranger... I'll keep watching ebay and scouring dealers...

I've recently got myself a third hand Isabella Capri Lux 950cm from Fleabay... But I've not had chance to pitch it yet... Hopefully next weekend... I'll let you know when it's pitched, hopefully take some photos and add them onto here. :-)

We have the 500/5 ranger 2003 and its a size 12 on the dorema site.double check before you buy because we unknowingly got one slightly too large and after 4 of us could not get it to fit we got the correct one.the one we got was too big.i would trust isabella.

dorema says a 925 - 950 is size 12
