We are struggling to decide. We want a very small caravan, small in height as well as breadth and length so it can fit easily into our small drive. We have looked at all the conventional small caravans and they just dont appeal. We have always liked the Eribas but the price is prohibitive so will probably be ruled out. We got the chance this holiday to visit the Freedom showroom in Stafford so have been able to see all over a Freedom caravan at long last. Loved their size and quirkiness and price, ideal for storing and towing.

Our dilemma is- we like the Sunseeker which is a 3 berth but has no toilet. We also like the Jetstream which is a 2 berth with a toilet. Our intention is to eventually take grandchild(ren) sometimes with us. My thinking is that any time we take a child with us we will always have an awning up (possibility for extra sleeping area with annex). On the other hand the 3 berth would always have the extra bed/dinette available but with the faff of no toilet (and it does become a faff moving about a portaloo every day). Has anyone got useful comments based on experience? The only other van we like is the Tab. So comments only for Eribas, Freedom and Tab please. Thanks in advance.

Have a look at the Fleurette Tamaris or the Trigano Silver - we have the Silver 310TDL having previously had the older Fleurette.

Various lengths, all have toilet compartments plus the usual hob, hot water etc, & they are pop-tops which make towing & storage easier.

This website will show you all the various configurations although not very convenient for you to visit. We live in west London so not too far for us but it will give you an idea of what is available.

We were also looking for a small caravan and looked at the KIP Range, but couldn't find one available.  They do a Kompact version and I think are bringing out an even smaller one at some point.

I vote for 2 berth plus toilet as I would want/need a toilet every time I used the van and could choose to add on an awning or pup tent for extra sleeping accomodation any time I had someone else staying.

I would go for the two berth and loo, as you say sometimes the GC will come, but not all the time, it is nice to have a loo if you are caught short at night.

www.outandaboutlive.co.uk reviews and compares the baby Eriba, Tab and Adria Action. You might find it interesting, we've got the Action and find it suits us...Mick

Haven't seen much reference to Adria Action in the UK for a while and having had a quick google I'm not sure they are being offered by UK dealers any more. Adria Slovenia have it on their website Here

We had the 4 berth Freedom and used it with 4+dog. We used a bucket at night instead of the loo. You do need something. It fitted in front of the kitchen. We always used the awning as well and often had son 3 sleeping out there making 5 in total.

Now there are only 2 of us we would go for the toilet compartment with a cassette. You need heating and preferably hot water, no room for a fan heater. We found an oven was essential when we had the kids but now with 2 of us we just eat out most days.

Yep, the 2 berth with loo is the one for us - once we sell the bongo. I've been looking for ages for our Bongo alternative and the only 2 that make me smile are the Freedoms and Eribas. Freedom looking favourite. Would be interested in comments from folk who chose between these makes and why they chose what they did!

My little Kip Kompact 300 is still going strong and 30 years old this year! I would love the new Kip Kompact, very reasonably priced, very well made. Just need to win the lotto!
