Last weekend I did something I've never done before in over twenty years caravaning. I blew the site's main breakers!! By a processs of elimination I have narrowed the fault down to a dead short in the Truma water heater. Are spare parts available and can they be repaired locally or does the unit have to be sent to a Truma agent for repair? I am assuming the immersion element is the problem.

It sounds like the element has gone, I blacked out two French sites and the Caravan Club site at Folkstone when mine went.

You can buy the element and I don't believe that it's a difficult job to change it although mine was done under warranty.

Have a look in the manual or online how to change it.

Mike

Thanks Mike. A couple of weeks ago the caravan breaker tripped but seemed OK after reset. I have the operating and installation book but not much info in that. I'll try online

normally if the mains blows its the element at fault.but it has been know for damp in the element to give the same reaction.run it on gas for a few days to dry it out and try again if it goes again.spares are easy to buy.a it like a large kettle element to look at.PDF
