Hi,
I'm just trying to get opinions and advice on the best place to advertise a caravan. We love our caravan but we have just purchased a static (somthing I never thougth would happen - however several of our family members have vans there and the lure of babysitters is too strong). I know it's probably not the best time of year to sell but due to storage and insurance costs coming up in a couple of months (and cash flow) my peference would be to sell it now.
Any advice greatfully received. Have put on this site, preloved and on ebay, have I missed anywhere else.
Thanks
We sold our ABI adventurer on preloved, no fees like eBay, but you can put it on eBay as classified advert I think it costs about £15 and then you pay no fees, I sold my previous tow car that way. We also brought our new to us coachman amara 380 from somebody on preloved
Hi there, we are on our second caravan and got them both off ebay, as one of the other posts states good pictures are a must as personally i did not look at adverts without as sometimes we would be travelling a long way to view so wanted an idea before hand.
I have just sold my old van this week, advertised it on Preloved and within 12 hours had someone lined up to come and see it. Put it on fleabay on a Buy It Now price (could'nt find how to do classified)and within 24 hours someone had bought it.
Likely fluke I sold it so quickly but wherever you advertise it do use good, clear and informative photos. I too would'nt even bother to look at an advert without photos. You can always put on your advert (essential for Preloved and eBay) send email for more photos as you are limited on how many you can put on.
Also price is a huge factor , the cheaper vans seems to sell a lot faster than the newer expensive ones, new people coming into caravanning looking for a starter unit, we couldnt sell ours a 2007 model and had to chop it in at a dealers and it was realistically priced,my friend had a 1994 bailey up for sale same time as ours and it sold on eBay in 9 hours.
