We are going in our new (to us) caravan for the weekend and our 2 mini dachshunds are coming, this will be the first time for all of us to go in the van we use to camp before we sold the tent.

Glad she was a good girl and I hope she's all better now.

Took my tiny jack russel x yorkie away this summer in our caravan and she loved it. She even chose her own spot on the seat where we then put a blanket for her and we never heard a peep out of her, she was so good

Think she also misses the beach and whenever I go out to our caravan to get something she runs straight to the step and waits for me to open the door so she can jump in

I'm starting to think she likes it as much as us!

We are going away this weekend for a week to Banbury and it will be the first trip with our kitten who is 14 weeks old.

I am quite nervous about it but I have had her in a harness since we got her (not all the time LOL) and we have lots of things for her including one of those corkscrew things and a long leash.

Hopefully she will be ok for the 5 hour trip, I am thinking about getting some calming tablets from the vet for her.

Has anyone used these for thier pets and are they worth it?

We got our dog about the same time as the caravan (4 years ago) so he was brought up with frequent caravan trips. He does the usual thing of following me everywhere when the packed bags appear in the kitchen so he doesn't get forgotten!
For the first time last weekend we left him at my mothers whilst we went away for 3 nights(had days out planned where dogs were not allowed). We had to sneak the bags out of the house without him seeing them.
My mum said whilst at her house, he followed her into the front garden and he just sat staring at her neighbours caravan!!
It didn't seem quite the same without him.
