Hi guys, does anyone know what qualifications you would need to do gas tests/work on a static caravan?

so it would have to be the full gas safe? I thought it was just LPG?

that i dont know for sure but i know the grandmother in law had to get someone who was gas safe to do hers. presumed there was only one type

Having just had my household gas serviced/checked yesterday, I know for sure that you need an extra certificate for LPG.. The chap that came didn't and I have a freestanding LPG gas fire, which someone else with the LPG certificate has to come out and service.

Whether you need household gas certs before you can also do the course for LPG I'm not sure. But I am sure that you can have the household gas certs without the LPG certificates!

I just asked hubby he's a gas safe engineer and it's exactly what Jax said they need to have LPG on their badge.
Gas safe isn't just 1 examine where they can work on anything there are loads of different exams they can take to qualify in different things and each thing will be on their gas safe badge.

If you go to http://www.gassaferegister.co.uk you can enter LPG and caravan and your location and find a local person

We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
