Highly delighted with mover but not sure if we should leave engaged ie on the tyres when parked up as extra security or off. Advice please.

Says in my manual for a purpleline ego:

Operation Safety Guidelines: Do always make sure that the rollers are fully disengaged from the tyres when the mover is not in use. This is better for the tyres and for the mover.

If you look in your manual it will probably say the same. Constant pressure from the unit on the tyres will almost certainly damage one or t'other, possibly both.

personally i wouldnt leave it on, although i have accidentally.

it is putting pressure on the whole system as its spring loaded, and it could distort the tyres too.

Leave it off as damage will occur with prolonged pressure.

It's the same as leaving you van standing in the same position for long periods of time - It will eventually cause damage to the tyres.

The rollers apply a lot of pressure it quite a small area, so they need to be disengaged.

I always disengage mine...dont want any possibility of the springs or tyres to get damaged.
