I wondered if anyone has replaced the centre set of drawers with a seat pad set to make the bed area larger when the double bed is made up. If so where can you get them from and are you able to store the drawers under the pull out bed ladder at night when you make the bed up. Sorry if this is a daft question but I might like to make a wider sleeping area. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Measure the height of the drawers then measure the gap from floor to bed rail and I think you will find that the gap is smaller which means you won't be able to put the set of drawers under the bed. A set of drawers are more useful than a single cushion so how much room do you actually need? I find the space with drawers in place is more than adequate.

Our previous 'van (Lunar Solar 524) used the end backrest cushions as infills (they were separate parts). The chest fitted under the pull out and we used the bed like this quite often.
Our current 'van came with felt covered infill cushions, as extras, because the end backrests are sculpted corner pieces. The chest does fit under the pull out but we haven't tried this in action yet. It is pretty handy though, as it enables you to sleep lengthways, sideways, or upside down and back to front probably. Our current bed is 6' 2" x 6' 10" when made up this way.
We have found the centre chest of drawers in our Coachman Pastiche 2 berth to be a waste of space except for using the fold out top as an occassional table. The drawers are unusable when the bed is made up so we tend not to use them at all as my wife likes a good lie in of a morning. We are hoping to change our van in the next few weeks and have decided on a Bailey Pegasus 514 (2010) which has no chest but wrap around seating and a wide front shelf under the front window, wide enough for a cuppa and a sandwich anyway. The Bailey has a side dinette to have 'proper' meals from and is somewhere for me to sit and have a cuppa and read my Kobo whilst waiting for the missus to rise.
My daughter and her husband are buying there own caravan for next year so we can have a 4 berth now and as much as I love them not have to worry about being asked to take the grandkids off their hands during the school hols..
we bought the centre cushions at the time of ordering our van (so sorry can't help with the where to get them bit), but, when we got them, we thought we'd made an expensive error (waste of time sort), but decided to remove the drawers (into our spare bedroom at home) and use the seating cushions on our last holiday anyway and give it a go.
we find the centre drawers a waste of time anyway, as we never used them and don't miss the pull out table, but really found that the seating area was much more comfortable and can see your point about a bigger bed (we have a fixed bed, so haven't made the front bed up yet). I can't see us putting our centre drawers back in now.
