Im buying a hobby twin axle caravan,(cheap)
This is a dry caravan ( no plumbing at all)
I intend on fitting cassette toilet , full size shower tray a basin and a kitchen sink, im a carpenter by trade but im also good at plumbing etc,
All i need to know is there anything that i should be aware of before attempting such a task ,
I will be using a carver water heater i think.
Unless anyone has suggestions
Im open to any advice possible and huge thanks in advance.
------------- If its not broke, break it and then try to repair it.
I did consider doing this myself. My main concern was that I would be adding far more weight than enough and that the wallboards inside would not be damp resistant enough to contain a shower.
I would certainly want to ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the shower cubicle so that condensation cannot form on the walls.
Caravans normally use push fit "John Guest" type plumbing.
Water heaters can be very expensive and while the Carver is easy to get second hand, it is quite dated so you may have trouble getting spares in the future.
Have you considered what sort of water system to use? There are two types used on caravans. One has micro switches on all the taps which turn the pump on, the other system has a pressure switch to turn the pump off, so that when you connect the pump it starts pumping immediately until it pumps enough pressure to knock the pressure switch off.
Both systems have their strengths and weaknesses. The micro switches require more wiring as each tap needs to be connected in parallel and onto the pump. The micro switches do give trouble from time to time which means that when the tap is open the pump doesn't switch on. You also have to be careful that you switch the tap off fully so that the micro switch doesn't stay on and leave the pump running as this can flatten the battery and burn out the pump.
The pressurised system also has it's drawbacks. If you have a leak for example, the pump will keep pumping water until it runs out of water, unlike the micro switch system which only pumps when the tap is on. You also need to take care not to let the aqua roll run dry with a pressurised system as the pump will continue running if this happens and quickly overheat with no water to cool it.

should not be a problem, best bet is to buy a hynes caravan manual.most thing are covered in that.
hire a gas safe fitter to make connections and test after fitting.
