I've just put a deposit down on a 2005 bailey ranger 460/2, that's had very little use.
any advise would be grateful, regarding any problems, I cant see any water ingress, or any repairs, resulting from water damage.
the firm is taking back my old Outfit: 1992 ABI marauder 380/2 for £595, and taking off the motor mover and putting on the new van free of charge.

dont want to spoil your new caravan find, but ranger 2005 (reported on this site) if it has the large window double check for leaks round this area.also 2005.2006.2007 had a number of faulty front panels.ie cracks above the front windows where the roof joins the front panel.worth a check before you leave with it.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I think the front and rear panels were affected, we considered one of these but was terrified we'd end up with a problem.
Please don't let me put you off but check carefully.
------------- Are you sure you've read the instructions?
We bought a 2004 Bailey ranger 460 and ended up with all the above problems and it cost a fortune to have it repaired, another thing to check is the front window there was a problem with space between the two pain's of glass it wasn't big enough space and the two pains rubbed together and check every ware with a damp meter.Ian

Sorry for delay on replying, busy week.
Thank you all for your input/info, good or bad.
I will try and check for thous faults, trouble is, me and the misses have osteoarthritis, and have trouble checking on top and underneath, and have to rely on the sale staff to trust and be honest with us.
It makes me wonder why we all buy caravans, this is all we hear about problems after problems, the manufacturing in this country in terrible.
I use to be a roof tiler,( O.A has stopped me from working) I'm sure the designers and the builders of these things wouldn’t like me to leave them with a leaky roof.
just say to your dealer you are informed of possible problems with this make and year of caravan.can you please double check there is no problems in these areas before we pick up.he will know what you mean.

HI Micheal, I will certainly do that, plus I am going to get a independent report.

Hello Graham
I have just seen your posting - we had a Bailey Ranger 470/4 2006 version and it was excellent. But one thing - I see that you and your wife have osteo arthritis and the wooden bed supports in the Ranger do not have gas struts which makes it surprisingly awkward when making the bed or accessing the space under the seats. We now have a van with gas struts and it makes like so much easier. I would try to do a trial of bed making and imaging hauling the duvets etc out whilst holding the bed slats or balancing on your head as I used to do! Kind Regards
