Once again it seems all 2013 vans have leg rolls on all cushions. Why?

Because they have shares in the supply of memory foam toppers!!

Anyway - not ALL - look at continental vans......no leg rolls!!

.its the raised part at the front of the seat that goes under your knees when you sit down.

Its the thicker rounded edge on the seat cushions, rather than a one thickness square edged base cushion.

One dealer told me that the reason for leg rolls being popular with manufacurers is that they can keep the main part of the cushion relatively thin, saving on weight and cost, but with a population thats tending to get heavier, the thick front roll can be made to fit at hip level when the bed is made up, helping to avoid an heavier person from 'Grounding' on an otherwise thinner mattress.

They put leg rolls on seats because some people don't make up double beds at night and use the seats as single beds like we do which stops them falling off the cushion on to the floor. Rather an excellent idea I think and for obvious safety reasons too.

Being over 6 foot single beds are out of the question.  So I should have achoice of leg roll or not.  Not - in my case.  Why pay for the extra manufacture and the inconvenience?   There again, having gor to the show in Catterick, there was not a single van that took my fancy.  So by the time I get round to buying a new van, the fashion will have changed

Not nearly as tasty as spring rolls but just as uncomfortable in the middle of the night.

Do you not just put them to the outside edge when making up the double?
