Hi Paul I have a gravel drive like you and have a sloping drive with a tight turn involved. Currently I have a Powrtouch 4 x 4 AWD on my twin axle and it handles the gravel and slope perfectly, previously I have had a Bailey Pageant single axle again with a Powrtouch mover and it was again perfect for the job, in fact I have also moved the van up and down the drive in ice and snow and again perfect with no slipping on either the single axle or the twin. As far as the Jockey wheel is concened, I dont agree with Jax 365, I used to have a solid wheel , but found this dug into soft gravel pitches and soft grass, this was not the reason though I changed to a Pneumatic. If like me you have a small rise where the granite sets meet the road or end of your drive, no matter how carefully you take the jockey wheel down the drop (mine is only an inch or so) it drops with a thud with the solid wheel, I didn't like this jarring the A frame or Jockey wheel, with the pneumatic tyre it doesn't even notice it.
