All bleached disinfected and anti bacced now. Every nook and cranny has been scrubbed 4 hours it took yesterday. Jeyes fluid on the wheels corner steadies jockey wheel and underneath!. Today moved van away from there as the owner admitted to us yesterday that he knew he had a vermin problem and didn't seem overly bothered about it . There are lots of vans on there some only a year or so old. Going to be a lot of angry people come easter I think.

I used it on the corner steadies around the wheels jockey wheel and in the wheel arches even sprayed a little inside where they appeared to of got in too. I used the ready mixed spray one but usually will use it neat (I like the smell of it) and put it all around the outside of my van and same at home.
Comper21 would the mouse zapper work if placed underneath the unit?
We have just used our folding camper and discovered that mice had eaten through a small plastic handle, plastic bags and my crocs! When making up the beds I discovered a small hole in a feather duvet, bits of plastic, leaves and feathers drifted out. Gave the trailer a thorough clean and searched for any major damage which thankfully there was none.
We have to store the FC outside in the winter and have never had mice problems before. Our son has his FC parked next to ours, he made a wooden A frame for each camper and we covered them with winter caravan covers, the mice chewed some of the foam which we had stapled to every corner to protect the covers, but not the covers.
I wonder if the zapper would work if placed under the units.......what think you?
So an update to my previous post - we had at least one mouse get into the gas locker - brand new van and the buggers still got in. I have now bought some fine mesh and with some grabs like nails have covered every opening in the locker. Fortunately the running lights on the new van are at the bottom of the front panel so there is nothing for them to climb up. Lots of jeyes fluid around the legs etc hopefully that will stop them - and if not the mouse trap will!
Hi Sandra, yes it would. The device works on four AA batteries. All you do is load it the batteries. Switch it on. I use a piece of chocolate Digestive as bait which i literally throw in the trap. I switch the machine on and its literally a killing machine.
Its as human as possible as it kills the mice dead using 8000 volts in just a second. When youve caught a mouse the light will flash on the top of the unit. You just empty the contents into a bin and its ready to use again.
Ive got to say I was dubious before i got it, but it worked so well ive bought four of them to protect the house, just in case.
Ive read reports that theyre also good for getting rid of rats too.
Thanks Comper21, I'll get one for the upcoming Autumn/winter.
We are in the process of selling the camper and have bought a very nice 2 berth caravan (2005) so am not taking chances with mice this next season!
I have noticed a fox in my garden a few times. I moved our caravan yesterday and there was a well chewed bone underneath. I think a local fox lies sheltering under the caravan as it will be nice and dry. I will leave him or her in peace as a hungry fox should keep any mice away.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
Thanks, l will pay attention to any smell and start to discourage them if I notice a smell. Our local foxes are tame and show little fear of people.
