We use the caravan shower occassionally depending on how long we are out for. If we are just out on a weekend rally then no we don't use it and shower at home before we leave and use the extra space to hang up wet coats etc. on the rail if need be but if we are out for longer for 4 nights or more then we of course do use the shower. No matter what the weather, it's convenient, cosy and warm and most of all we don't need to worry about contracting veruka's or atheletes foot from a shared shower cubicle which I have heard in the past that can sometimes happen. We prefer our own facilities at all times and that's why it's beneficial of owning either a caravan or motorhome.

Using the shower in the caravan in general does not have any direct bearing on the damp levels in the walls that does damage. If there is other damage in the are that breaks the moisture barrier then it could be a problem. We have always used the caravan shower when away though if there is a shower block nearby I might use it though Anne will not.

Always use the shower in the caravan, and by using fully serviced pitches you have not got to worry about the water running out, you only have to worry about using all the hot water !! We have an end bathroom with seperate shower and find this layout suits us. We tend not to use site showers as in the main they are left in a poor state by the previous occupant (sign of the times I guess) and we can choose when we have our shower. Makes a lot of sense when the weather is bad.

PS. If you are having a shower make certain nobody runs the hot tap in the kitchen as your shower will run cold.........

We got our current van this time last year, it has an end shower room with a separate enclosed shower cubicle.

Now it is the exception that we use the site's showers.
