Hi does anyone know if these can be retrofitted at the dealer or need to be fitted at the factory,as we have ordered our new elldis crusader but specified a tracker and not the diamond wheel locks
As we are stuggling to find insurance as this seems to be a specific requirement

We had the tracker and leather upgrade as the extras at the nec,the annoying part is we asked our insurance company who were next to the elldis stand at the show what to go for and were told "tracker Hitchcock and wheelclamps "now I need wheel locks .same goes for the caravan club insurance it's specified BBW diamond wheel locks

I was told they have to be factory fitted when bought our Crusader at the NEC.

Hi. No its a single Avante 540. I couldn't tell you to be honest if it has to be factory fitted, we have just received are order sheet and it does say Bpw fitted at factory.we also got alarm,extra outside socket and extra satelite points in van thrown in. But again it states all to be fitted at factory. To be honest it was a no brainier for me. They got the chap from Bpw to demonstrate it for me . We're we live we get a lot of travellers passing through,so I think it's a good detterant and the extra 20% of on insurance I think it's worth it. If I did not get it thrown in as part of the deal , I think I would pay for one to get fitted.

On my Swift the receiver is part of the wheel hub, so I guess it'll be a factory fit

When I bought my Crusader Super Sirocco twin axle new just over a year ago, it came with two BPW through the wheel locks as standard.

Being a total pain to fit two, when I spoke with the CC to insure the van I told them I would fit one and one Milenco along with the high security hitchlock.

They told that was OK but would not get the extra 10% discount for two BPW locks, which was ok with me.

According to our current insurers caravan guard and the caravan club we must have 2 diamond wheellocks ,I have spoken to the dealer today and they can be retrofitted so I've ordered 2 at £599

Hi Darkloard

I have a Crusader Super Cyclone with the BPW Diamond Wheel Locks on it, but we are changing this to a Crusader Super Sirocco with clamping plates on it, did you get a response as to whether you can get them retrofitted? Thanks

Wrote the post wrong, the new van has NO clamping plates on it, that's why I want to know if they can be retrofitted, thanks.
