 hi all, going to look at a 2004 2 berth dethleffs caravan next week does anyone know of  any pitfalls with this model,

can not help on the make but any secondhand van should be checked with a dampmeter before buying.

Hi, cant help with the model but we bought a Dethleffs 2008 fixed bed in September and so far so good. The build quality is far beyond any van we have ever owned but as Michael says, no matter what the make , they all suffer from damp so check well.

It might be wise to check you can insure it and insure it for reasonable cost if indeed you were considering insuring it.
It most probably is a private import so check it has all the features you believe you need. Continental vans can be, though not necessarily are, sold missing equipments we Brits expect. A battery and a battery charging system could be such a feature and would be an issue if intending to ever use non EHU sites.

Ive got a Hobby and most insurers will insure continental vans, im with the ccc and its about the same as uk vans, mine didnt have a battery, but the dealer put one in including battery and really good charger for £150. i would buy it, you want regret it.
