My understanding is that the electronic tag (mine was a self adhesive label rather than a glass vial) should be put on the inside of an outside wall of the caravan so that it can be easily read from the outside without the police having to gain entry to the van.  You should then notify Cris of the tag location.  The Police would contact Chris for this info and the tag can be read through the wall by the scanner that the police use, even if the wall is aluminium.

I found the most fun was going all round the inside of the van with the microdots brush.  Finding a secret squirrel place to paint them was great, and once dry, they became invisible.

Cheers Fred

I need to be a squirrel to get to these places to do it.17But when we uncover ours we will be doing it all. Apparently it lights up like all the firework displays all going off at once without bangers. So I will be doing the more ladylike places but not in  my brain as I am still a tomboy at heart.

On our last van I put the transponder in the rear window frame under the rubber seal and then filled the gap with sealant, current one is elsewhere.

Is this the outside of the van, as ours would be the kitchen window or inside the van so that the actual van construction if it has any metal at all would not be in that particular place.

or am I going daft and it has to be in the inside as it could be picked at and removed on the outside.

It was put in the wooden frame in between the outer and inner skin, the outer was plastic so should not have been a problem reading it

Wonderful that is where ours will go still waiting to take the cover off to get to it.

Mind the bed leg is a bit easier for us. But I will leave it to Bob to do.

Thanks
