There is a long discussion about this subject on another forum but to put Bailey owners in the picture I will try to explain. Some and not all Bailey vans produced since October 2011 to possibly December 2012 have been supplied with faulty covers to the mattresses due to a manufacturing error from Bailey's suppliers Belfield Furnishings. The problem is that the covers absorb damp to such an extent that they feel and are wet and not just cold and damp. This apparently was due to the wrong solution of fire retardent being used. The correct process if you are a victim is to contact your dealer who will then send a request form to Bailey under the warranty. Once this has been accepted then either you should take your mattresses to the dealer or, if the distance is a long drive, arrangements can be made for them to be picked up and taken direct to Belfields. It seem that can take around 10-14 days. They are recovered and returned and it seems this has solved the problem. Some people, including myself, have had to return them twice as it was only found out last week that it was the material that was the cause. Hope this helps those who are concerned. I feel sorry for all those who will be getting their vans out of storage for the spring and don't frequent forums so will know nothing about this. Bailey have not issued a recall notice and that is probably an issue in itself!
