getting frustrated with the weather now, dealer rang yesterday to say the new (to us) van will be ready for picking up when we can.

they have fitted motor mover and valleted and serviced it, all it needs now is an outside vallet.

but i have to move my old van from storage and bring it home to sell it, then the new van will go in its place at storage.

but the weather is beating us so far, 6"of snow at storage and also at dealers.

but they said they dont expect us to go for it till the snow melts, which seems it may be after weekend

new one is a coachman amara 450/2 2006 and is absolutely imaculate, cant wait to try it.

also going to n.e.c. show next month, as wife wants all new plates and pots etc

ehh, whats that all about??17

anyway wont be long now.

cheers

We have just bought our first caravan after years of tents. We decided on a colour theme and have spent a small fortune so far.....fortunately the caravan has a new awning that matches our chairs

I don't know whether this information will be of any use to you but the official awning size for the Amara 450/2 is 886 cms. which is the same as ours so if you do decide in the future that you do need an awning it is advised to opt for the 900 cms. awning. If you have a handbook with the caravan the awning size should be in there anyway. We had the same problem weather wise two years ago regarding collecting our caravan at the end of November so I understand your disappointment not being able to pick it up but Good luck with your new caravan anyway and hope we have a better summer ahead than we had last year.

I managed to prise new aquarolls/waste master/battery + other bits out of the dealer when negotiating our new 'van. Its all ok, but shows you how much they are still making on the deal to throw these in.

I too am waiting for the snow to shift (currently about 8 inchs) where the van is going to park - which still needs levelling to boot. So itll be a week or two before i can bring ours home.
