Has anyone tried using this on a caravan?
It is excellent on cars and would make the job of cleaning a caravan much simpler especially on the roof area.
I asked Bailey re Alu-Tech. They said in the handbook any propriety car shampoo could be used. When I e mailed their help line they only recmmended one - the one they sell.
I am tempted to try it but I am concerned in case there is paint damage.Obviously care would be needed with application by pressure washer on traditional seams.
Yes i use it now and again. It makes a good job of cleaning but,any black marks.. you have to use a sponge or brush to remove them.
I have an adapter bottle for my karcher and it works well, like you said care must be taken when using a lance to get it off just dont go near any of the rails or skylight seals full force and you will be fine

a pressure washer is not a good idea on a caravan,it can damage seals.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
you have to watch its not coustic type tfr, you can go to www.bonnymans.co.uk and get caravan cleaner that is none coustic type, so just watch m8, thay sell none coustic type, if that any help m8
I've used Autobrite's Magifoam on ours, and it's what I use on my car as well. I can get a virtually 'touchless' wash on the car using the stuff, and it won't strip any sealants or waxes, so perfectly safe as far as I'm concerned on the caravan.
brian, I doubt if you would find any car cleaner that has a caustic element in it. And it appears the the Bonnymans site that you keep plugging does not do snow foam, which is what the OP asked about.
Are you on commission with Bonnymans or just an employee m8....don't you just hate text speak

Thanks for the replies. I have a Bailey Alu-Tech van which does not have the tradional seams. I am reaching an age (72) when cleaning the van is very hard work esp. reaching to do the roof so I thought foam might be the answer.
My experience of pressure washer chemicals for truck washing is that products that claim they remove traffic film without brushing, don't, they always need a brush as well.
I found snow foam good on 13m trailers that spend every day on the road and get covered in diesel soot and crud but for a caravan that has mainly dust and a light coating of atmospheric pollution it is overkill. Check the data sheet as some contain sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) and various carcinogens.
My personal feeling is if you can nt clean the caravan using over the counter cleaning shampoos then it is better to take the caravan to someone who can. My local window cleaner provides a caravan cleaning service and he is happy for his customers to provide the shampoo and polish.
