Hello Sue,
I have a Quest Conniston 390 porch awning (3.9m porch awning) which has multiple pegging points on both ends of the awning and also multiple pegging points on the front section of the awning. I have used this awning on approximately 15 outings and never had any issues. You mentioned that there doesn't appear to be any pegging points on the inside flaps, this is correct. I peg the outside of the awning down to the ground and then pull the flap material inside the awning. I then put my breathable awning carpet on top of the flap material.
I have done this on numerous occasions with no issues. On a couple of occasions when the wind has blown with considerable force, it can blow through a little via the material flaps, however I have never had any major issues when this has happened. Do you know how many pegging points you have on your awning?
