In responce to nutkins' post about towing van from belgium, i'm in correspondence with someone from france about a van here is the actual text i had this morning.

After asking for the CRis number and Vin Number for my own checks this is the reply i had a few minutes ago.
""""The caravan is in perfect condition ready for caravanning with no bad record , also will come with FSH , we have all documents and manuals.I am very sorry but our lawyer advised us to not provide the CRIS or VIN number to anyone on the internet as we will meet the buyer and he will be able to check them.As you know for us will be a long way , for this time we want to be sure that everything will be ok,that is the reason that we choose escrow.com.We are very serious about this sale , i have attached a copy of my ID,but please understand that we lost time and money last time when we had a meeting with the buyer from dover and we will not come again just for a few words that the money are waiting there .
After i read about them i understand how they work and i will explain you again :
-i will start the transaction through their system, i will pay the escrow fee
-they will confirm you the transaction and will require a deposit of 50% sent to their bank account(will be an uk bank account because our transaction will be managed by an uk broker)
-once they have the confirmation from you that you done the transfer , will inform us to proceed with the meeting
-you will meet us and you will have a couple of days to check the caravan and the documents, 3 days i think
-if you would like the caravan and you want to buy it , they will request the remaining balance to be sent and will release the funds to me.
-if the caravan is not like we described and you don`t want to buy it , you will ask for a refund and the money will be in your bank account in the same day.
