Has anyone bought a Caravan from Lowe & Rhodes based in staffordshire? We looked at the Sprite Quattro FB which they had at the Manchester Show. We were impressed with them and the amount of time they were willing to spend with us even though we made it clear we would not be looking to buy new until later this year at the earliest.
We called in there when we were first looking to buy our first caravan as it's our nearest dealer to us, we looked at a nice Swift but my car at the time couldn't tow that weight and we had a Bailey instead. Personally they seemed to be a very good bunch, no high pressure sales, polite and very helpful and same again when I have had accessories since.
I have been past today and it's buzzing, in fact they always seem to be busy and generally that means they are satisfying customer needs and doing things right. I have never heard of any complaints or seen any on here, hope this helps.
Hi Rob ,on our 2nd van of them can not fault them ,after sales service is 1st class .From the sales team to the girls in the office who deal with any problems and of cause the workshop lads all give you a 1st class service they all go that extra mile to help you steve is one who we deal with
We had purchased two second hand vans from Lowe and Rhodes, I cannot fault them. The staff are very friendly and not at all pushy when you are looking round a van, the after sales are good too with a 12 month warranty on their used vans. I would certainly recommended them to anyone.
Thanks for the replies, its good to know they have a good reputation. Wedont live local an distance from the dealer was a concern. Steve was the guy we dealt with at the show. There are so many horror stories of dealers not caring once you have signed on the line. Steve an the team were very geniune an willing to spend time with us discussing the options. Some of the other dealers were not interested when we said we were not looking to order till later in the year
Personally I would not purchase any type of van from Lowe and Rhodes, in Stoke on Trent having had bad experiences with them. We were sold a caravan and were told at the time that it was in excellent condition and apparently had a full service history, the van cost us £11,500. This was purchased from them three years ago. We took the van to North Staffs caravans in Necastle for a service who informed us that the van had damp at the back in the bathroom area and having checked all around the van they discovered that the roof had been patched where it had split on both corners at the top. When I questioned them about this, they said when they buy in used vans they do not check the roof and that this was nothing to do with them as the warranty had expired.
I would be very wary about dealing with this company, I will certainly not be doing so again!
This is so typical, some one has a problem with a caravan over three years after purchase and it's the dealers fault.
They then register with a site like this and slate them.
1. Has the poster only now had the caravan serviced, 3 years on?
2. Have they never cleaned the roof and seen its condition in three years?
I have over the years purchased 3 caravans from there, all new, always found them to be honest and easy to deal with.
