Hi there i have just purchased a swift corniche 14/ 2e caravan, the van did not have a leisure battery which i have purchased and fitted and conected the van to the mains at home via the hook up supply to check out the caravan which seems fine however if i turn off the mains nothing else ie light or fridge work in side the van off the battery ?

 Did you manage to switch on all the 12v system.... ie panel switch and all circuit breakers ?

With the mains switched off only some internal lights will operate plus possibly radio and heater fan.Fridge will only operate via battery when connected to car with engine runnng.

We had a 15/2e and can confirm that only the strip lights plus the heater blower, water pump and radio run off the 12v system.

The fridge will need to work on gas if you are not on 230v.
