Back panel of our 2 year old van was found to be damp (Elddis 302) had a reading of 25%, also told it was a faulty window seal.

I've had the seal replaced but now concerned as to wether there is any permanent damage or not. Told it should be OK and give it some gentle heat, thing is it's in a storage compound.
15 to 20percent might need lookig at and work needed i would recheck in 3mths time ,hope it goes well for you

What percentage should the damp meter reading be before one can determain ingress ?
My last van read 37% at the rear quarter and 7% at the front quarter. The walls felt dry and didn't smell damp !!

My first new caravan, a Stirling, had major damp problems after the first year with major repairs. Three years after that it was a write off. Lost over £6,000 on it. Swift were useless.

My second new van a Bailey, had damp round one window after the first year. Got rid quick.

My third van, a French Trigano, now nearly 5 years old and is free of damp.
thats what i am thinking get fixed get rid ,but they have said it will be better than when it left the factory ,does that mean it was not fit for the job in the first place
Frankly Ian, get it repaired then get rid quick.
