Our current storage contract is due to expire soon and we are hoping to move our caravan a little closer to home.  Can anyone suggest any good storage facilities in the Wirral area? I've seen a few but don't know anyone using them so have no idea if they are any good or not.

Hi Sarah if you type ( caravan storage wirral ) into your browser you will get a whole page of wirral storage sites
Prices vary a lot it depends on what you want to pay, and what level of conveniance and security you want.
When you find one you think you might like look it up on google earth for its location.
im sure some members will come on soon to give you there experiances.

I don't know what part of the Wirral you're on or what you consider closer to home, but there's a CASSOA gold site on the Deeside Industrial estate. There used to be one just off the roundabout towards Chester, too, but I'm not sure if that's still there.

We live on the Wirral and currently use Champion storage near Arrowe Park Hospital. We like it as it is on an old carpark with vans around the perimeter only which makes it very easy to manoeuvre the caravan into it's space by hand. Key fob entry with a strong perimeter fence.

We have also used Greenacres in Hooton. This is very secure as the owner lives onsite but is basically a field with lots of rabbit holes. It is very tight for a larger van (ours is just over 7m).

We used one off Sealand road for a while but again even though it states hard standing it is full of rabbit holes etc which make it impossible to move the caravan by hand.

I know that there is one at Hooton Hangars which is meant to be good but has limited hours of access. We looked at one in Bromborough too which seemed ok but had no space at the time. Finally there is one at the old Burton Nurseries site near Neston. We haven't been to look at that one as the dealership it is attached to does not get good reviews at all!

Oh, and I have just remembered that Ellesmere Port car auctions had an advert in the paper the other day for caravan storage. I don't know anything about it at all though.

Good luck, I think your best bet will be to ring round and see who has space. When we were looking to move we had very limited choice.

Croughton just outside cheshire oaks is fine handy for the Motorways also only 15 mins from the Wirral

try dandys ,just down the road from the iceland head office zone 2 ,deeside industrial ,theres also one behind the little chef on the A55 at halkyn mountain ,but its in the woods and does suffer from vans going green due to leaf fall

Thanks everyone for your replies. Will do a bit of ringing around tomorrow and see where has availbility & price. Hopefully one of the ones on or nearest to the Wirral will have something free. Definately giving Burton a miss though, heard too many bad reviews on the security there.

The only one I know of hand is in Frankby at Lartons, it is a livery, riding stables. The owner lives on site.   They seem to store caravans. The M53 is not faraway.
