I had a good look over these in October at the NEC and then wrote on here a rather scathing review on what I had seen. Not wishing to be too hasty and in the interests of fairness I went for another look at the weekend at the Spring show. This time I took my Father in Law for a second opinion. If I was harsh in October, then my visit at the weekend justified my original thoughts. From the outside one can't fail to be impressed by the Eterniti vans, but step inside and all the evidence of a shoddy, hastily put together van is there for all to see.
From the ridiculous platform thing stuck on the worktop next to the door that I had to squeeze past, to the dangerous placement of the hob (imagine a young child walking in to the van and putting their hand straight into a gas ring), the van just shouted out lack of care and attention. Cabinets were a poor fit, there were gaps in all the cabinetry, sealant was of a poor standard and the cabinet finish looked poorly hand cut and of the cheapest conti board. What finished it for me was when I took hold of the top of a door frame and the entire partition and frame came away from the roof of the van!
All I can say is if their order books are full then those ordering have implicit trust in the company that the production models will be better, or they were swayed by initial looks which even to me were impressive. My father in law incidentally is a retired aircraft engineer (Airbus)and was mortified at the quality. emptor Caveat!!!
