Hi,the season is almost here again.Im busy buying new bits and bobs getting ready.Our first trip is at Easter,but we may go away before weather permitted.Im very excited to get off again we havent been since mid November. Has we have only been caravaning since last May,this is our first proper year.So far we are going to Durham at Easter,Yorkshire Dales May Day,Cleethorpes the end of May,then Cornwall in August for 17 nights.So thats a total of 31 nights,with lots more small trip in between.Hope we get plenty of nice weather this summer.Is everyone else getting ready for the season,and starting to think about booking.Have a great season everyone

Yipeee our site opens friday as we are seasonal. Booked the day off to go an give the van a good clean, we are going next weekend to set up then it will be roll on easter as we are there for a week. Fingers crossed for a sunny season

Bought a van at the NEC earlier this month; now waiting for our new car to arrive so we can tow it. Hoping to pick the van up at Easter and have a few days away. It's so reassuring to be able to plan in advance; we had to cancel so many weekends away last year in the tent because the ground was too wet to hold the tent pegs.

I'm visualising what of my camping equipment will transfer and what I need to buy new. I'm also trying to work out if my regular bedding will hold on the shaped bed. I may take a needle and thread away with me!!!!

Off tomorrow to pay the season's rent and spend the weekend there. The site we are on is open all year so we have been down a couple of times over the winter.

I retired at Christmas and DH retires on Tuesday so looking forward to spending lots of time in the van this year!

Hi all This will be our first full year caravanning too decided to book a weekend 23/3/13 (anniversary)then off to Haltwhistle, 20/4/13 then off to France with a first Rally at L'Etoile d'Argens with camping & caravanning club staying on the Med for six weeks then home off again to Cornwall for three weeks who knows after this we stayed down France last year for 15 weeks staying at 10 different sites and drove 5500 miles with some airy moments but at least we missed the bad weather at home hope it is sunny this year

Pressure and trepidation is rising, going to look over the swift charisma 560 saturday, now its all ready, with a view to buying. So yes excitement is stupidly high for coming season...
