this is probally a silly question, my caravan is in storage and we live in a cul de sac so cannot bring caravan home to clean. just was thinking how to keep caravan clean, it seems every time we go away the first thing i have to do is start cleaning caravan, which sometimes can be a pain. there must be a easier way
Can get caravan home occasionally but tend to give it a "once over" and hoover before we leave a site at the end of a break and use dry wash solution on-site for the outside. Get it home about once a year.
If you can't get it home at all are there any valet operations in your area, if not, do you have access to hook-up in storage otherwise restricted to a battery operated or 12v hoover which we have found are not that good.
i've also been contemplating this, as ous new van is bigger than the old one.
thought about filling containers with water, and using a spare water pump off 12v to pump water through a hosepipe, not decided yet .but i've also ordered a cover for the winter.
even thought about getting an inverter to power a hoover on 230v off the car battery, and running the car whilst hoovering.
debbie as someone has suggested why not clean it before you leave the site ,even if you cleaned it the day before it wouldn't get that bad before you went away again.I do not have ehu at storage so I use a"G-TECH"rechargeable sweeper which is very good
Battery operated hand held dyson is what we use on site, and recharge it in the van.
Bucket and sponge down at the storage compound, rinse it off with a watering can. That reminds me ... need to wash ours
We clean it while we are away (though some site owners aren't keen as they say the detergent can kill the grass). If you have running water at storage fill the aquaroll and take to pitch to clean. We also bought a plant sprayer and used that to clean it.
