Hey! Welcome on board!
From experience, some while ago, don't be too ambitious, only travel a short distance, go to a site with full facilities, take prepared food with you (or eat out!) Browse this forum carefully, as I have found it a very valuable source of information. When on site, if you have any problems - ask someone else on site. Most 'vanners are only too willing to help or advise. Most importantly - enjoy! But, be warned - it is horribly addictive!!
Good luck

hi. we only started caravanning last year. its great fun. we went for it strait from the start our first tow was from blackpool were we got the van, to devon were we live. we had 36 nights away last year all great fun and hasle free. the towing bit is a pain and very slow but its a big part of caravanning so try not to get hung up about it. you will allways be learning different and easier ways to set up your van.(for ever) and you will allways be buying more extra bits and bobs for your van (for ever). its great. we cant wait to start it all over again in two weeks time. have FUN.................
I'm sure thats the one where brother in law stayed in his motorhome when he came up from Reading. Is it the one just above Oxenhope? Which way do you go to it? Dont fancy that sharp left and steep incline back at the main road in Denholme...yikes, baptism of fire or what!!
We went from Leeds to the C&CC site at Scarborough for our first trip - we booked with friends who knew what they were doing but all went beautifully smoothly and I'm sure it will for you too :-) Where have you bought from - somewhere local?
Yeah decided to buy from SFM caravans Thornton. I know the owner from way back and its only 10mins away over the hill, so very convenient. They're all damage repairs and they do an excellent job on them, saw a couple in various states on Saturday in the workshop. We're getting 12 month warranty and i'm happier with this than some of the other shocking stuff we've seen!
That field is funny...young un was tramping about in the mud shouting "c'mon Dad its alright" practically up to her knees it...
We went down to the unit in Halifax with Sean the owner on saturday for a little tour around. Caravans are repaired to a very high standard and he's been doing it since 1991! Also thought it would be so much easier, being just up the road if we have any issues.
This is the one we're getting when he comes back from holidays 'again' (must be doing something right)
