Just to add if you are struggling foe space in your drive to keep the van, 1 year for caravan storage is only around the £350-400 mark
Agreed. Search for a CASSOA site near you. See CASSOA
you say you may not like caravanning so why buy one right away, hire one for a weekend and then look for one,I paid 1000 for my first 2 berth and loved it,but the missus said it wasn't big enough for a week with two dogs as well,so have a four berth now
------------- Whippets, you cant have just one

If buying private....check for outstanding finance. Its easily sorted if there is money still owed on the van..pay with 2 cheques---1 made to the finance company for the full settlement figure and another to the seller for the difference left over (if any).

When we sold our caravan that is the method we used after getting permission from the finance company and also stating that we would continue to be liable for payments until account was settled. There were no issues and the buyers got a caravan in first class condition.
OK, we have found a van and are looking at it tomorrow.
It's a Bailey Ruby 450/2 1997.
Let's hope it is just what we are looking for. It is £4000 less than the one we have seen from the local dealer albeit a different model and slightly older.
