We have bought a 2nd hand Dorema Toronto porch awning and after erecting the frame and checking the awning today we are after a bit of advise.

There arent any pads to attach to the awning channel/sit against the caravan and looking at the diagram there arent supposed to be any. There are foam pads that the vertical poles go up against and ties to fasten them. Does this sound normal?

It's worth asking for advice from Dorema as these quick lock pads can be purchased direct from them on 01977-555215. I found their customer services quite helpful actually when we bought our Dorema awning direct from their factory clearance.

Our Dorema awnings didn't come with 'quick loc pads' either.

We wondered how it attached to the 'van until a bit of advice from FIL.

But we got replacements and ladder bungees (that had perished) from ebay.

We have had one of these awnings from new. They do not use quick lock pads.

I attach awning to rail first. Then with the rear legs and rear section assembled walk this into the awning taking care not to catch the van. I then tie the legs to the rear pads. I then walk the front section into the awning and attach each of the sides. with the awning in a colapsed state I then fit the canopy pole and the small canopy legs. The final thing then is to tension the poles and finally peg down.
