Thanks again for all the advice. Alas, wife just wont tow, nor attend a course. She is nervous about the caravan being close to the back of the car and not being able to see out the back window - even if it is I who am towing.
That might also explain why she has made considerbale efforts not to use the van.
So thats it. A caravan that has only been used half a dozen times, totally wasted. It looks, feels and even smells brand new inside. I'm quite gutted but I know I will never be able to work the van now I'm ill, so theres no point in dragging it out.
I'll be putting it on Ebay over Easter, fully equipped and ready to go. Someone is going to get a great van. Still, Yin and Yang I guess....... Newton's second law in operation.

I so feel for you- you would so like to carry on! Two thoughts- do you think you wife might try towing with a smaller van? My little Wisp is barely wider than my car, so doesn't feel so bad as a wider van at the back. Or, how about getting it towed to a seasonal pitch in one of you favourite places?
At least if you have to sell up, you could have some lovely cottage hols on the proceeds!
Whatever you do , I wish you many more happy hols that you can both enjoy.

Silver Living, could you site your caravan on a different seasonal pitch each year? There are companies which would tow it for you and it sounds like you may still get good use out of it?
Thats a clever idea White Rose. Worth considering. Obviously I bought the van originally with the intention to tour with it.... but that might be better than losing it altogether.
Food for thought.....
