Just got back from Prestatyn, Thursday before the winds on Friday began. It wasn`t warm. But the inside of Daisy was and the water didn't freeze. I love it first thing in the morning when it`s freezing; I take the dog out . . . the coffee goes on . . I must be a gypsy at heart . . both me and `er can`t wait to be off again!
------------- Peripheral people don`t have as much excitement but they sure live longer
Well said Jim, early comments particularly fom Rob were uncalled for. Keeping close eye on conditions and using common sense is all it takes. We are heading to Scotland on Thursday , Dumfries & Galloway 1st stop which has been hit hard. Will see how it looks Wednesday then assuming roads clear and site owners giving us the thumbs up we will go and take it easy, great thing about caravanning is the freedom, if conditions change then plans can change as we go..

Thanks Just do it, you are absolutely right, just see what conditions are like and take care. A bad forecast is not a death sentence.
I'll have a debate with anybody, but there's got to be a bit of respect on both sides. Just because you disagree with somone, there's no need to get personal. Thank you for your support.
Im working offshore in the gulf of mexico USA at the moment, been here almost a month, back to UK 3rd April, hopefully going to Newquay with the caravan, fingers crossed roads are clear then, ive never seen any UK tv since ive been out here but saw pics on internet of the sh*te weather back home.

The weather isn't always what you think it is. I seem to remember lot of snow forecast for that area. Just shows, never trust a forecast.
Now I have an idea. If I get myself some pine cones and seaweed, the Met Office can pay me half of what they currently get.
well im still going...not far...but going..checked with site about access and roads..and come friday morning im going..the caravan has been sat for 6 months with no towbar on the car..got the car last week and down came the snow....

We're off to the Isle of white with our caravan on the 7th April. Hoping for a mini heatwave by then
It'll be the first time we've taken it on a ferry so hoping for a smooth crossing and the cold doesn't bother us, we'll snuggle up and crack open a bottle of baileys.
