Good luck to everyone on their maiden voyage!! Hope you have a fabulous time.

We are another set of newbies with our first outing planned for Monday. Really excited but totally terrified all rolled into one.

We have not towed before (well apart from our camping trailer which is a different ball game). It has been an enormous learning curve and we haven't even gone yet!!!

We have figured out how the leisure battery and gas connects / works and got our heads around fridge and heating operation. Need to sort out getting toilet chemicals today and figure out what the heck goes where (we have a bench style toilet) and do not yet own wheel chocks or leveller's so need to figure that out today too. Oh.....and we have bought a waste master but need to work out where and how that connects! Going to the storage site today to "visit"!!

We have a kampa rally porch awning, which looks fairly straight forward to put up (she says......!).

We had a site booked in Wales but they cancelled due to snow, so we booked another site which also cancelled 2 days ago due to snow. So - need to sort the site out too!! Probably looking for somewhere within an hours drive for our first venture.

We are all going to have to report back re: how we got on!!!

We got ours last October, after using a tent for 5 years. Been 3 times so far and been cold and frosty each time so I was hoping it might be a bit milder for going next week, but not looking like it.   Not putting us off as it is great being away in it! We've just got hold of an isabella magnum awning second hand 😀 (will have to sell the tent now) and we'll be trying that out. Lots of viewing of the Internet video of how to put it up before we go (but looks easier than a tent).

Thanks everyone for all the replies. We had an amazing time and truly loved our first trip. Everything seemed to go well.
The weather was a bit cold but it was nice and cozy in our van.
Can't wait until Thursday when we go on our second trip.
