if you use gas for the fridge your battery will last longer. make sure the caravan is level when you pitch it tho'-gas is quite fussy and wont work if the vans not level.
also I would say be careful to make sure you do not pitch on very soft or wet ground and caravan gets bogged in .
you'll learn as you go and other campers will help you if you get stuck.

without EHU your battery will only last about three or four days.so you could be in trouble ie.no lights,no ignition for the water heater on gas.no tv if 12v.
