Hi

Wondered if anyone can help me, I have an elddis wisp circa 1991 and in it is a thetford cassette toilet. Like this one in the link below

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thetford-caravan-toilet-cassette-C2-R-H-fitting-Excellent-condition-/321075105336?clk_rvr_id=463595293564&nma=true&si=NQGhDPQBJ%252BhVt7%252FGB7AB0r4V39s%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

First couple of times away I had no problems but recently I am having problems with it leaking when I go to empty it.

It started leaking from the small hole and this has got worse and it's now also leaking from the main seal.

Can anyone help? Is it repairable? Can I get a new cassette for such an old toilet without replacing the whole lot?

Thanks for any help

The link below may help which is linked to Thetford toilet repairs. Just click on the first link... 'Repair instructions for all Thetford sanitation products' which will open a PDF file showing different models of Thetford toilets and how to undertake repairs.

remove the 8 screws and fit a new rubber seal cost about £8.other spares are readily av.the seal will only go one way round as there is a lug on it to aid fitting.i use olive oil to lubricate the seal.

Thank you all for your help.

Will replacing the main seal stop the leak out of the small hole or do I need to do something with that too?

Deb
