The plate is to the right of the entry door
The serial no is 91cu180299
The one above is 91cu545479

1991? Just a guess from the 91 at the start of the numbers you have given. Does it look like a 1991 model? Is it a cassette toilet? There are a few clues you could look for such as date stamps on the wheels but they may have been changed over time.

If it's a 1995 model it would have a CRIS number etched into each of the windows. If there is a CRIS number the tenth digit would give the year.

I would hope that the tyres have been changed and are not the original ones, I would not like to be towing anything on tyres that are 20 years old!

I would hope the tyres have been changed by now. I was referring to the wheels as many wheels used to have a date stamp on them which helped to date a caravan year.

If you can post a photo of the caravan I could probably tell you within a year or two as they underwent a lot of changes between 91 and about 96 which helps to identify them plus it will help you if you need spare parts for running gear etc.

Almost positive it is a late '90 or '91 with that trim, colour etc.

At that age it will be on a Sprite chassis (they changed to BPW soon after and then to Alko when production moved to Swift). Most of the running gear will be Knott components with maybe an Albe hitch head. Most other things in the caravan are standard parts bin type equipment. Check for damp above front gas locker and for de-lamination of the floor.

I am a bit concerned with the differing numbers though. Is there a plate or stamped number on the A frame of the chassis to confirm which is correct.

91 screams it's 1991 plus it looks that age, but, the cassette toilet was introduced in 93?! also, this model finished in 95 so at least one thing is certain....it's not a 96!

CHRIS marking was introduced in 92 but not every UK maker took it up until 93, so are the windows all etched in the bottom right corner? if so the 3rd letter of the second line gives the year, n is 92 and p is 93
I don't though see how it will be CHRIS marked, the CRIS and chassis number are one in the same, and your chassis number is not in the CHRIS format!

If then you can give me the unladen weight, (the body length would also help), that might help me to narrow it down to a year.
