I wonder if anyone can help. Were just back from a weekend away and obviously its a little chilly so put the heater on .Now this only seemed to work on the 1Kw (low) setting and not on the 2Kw high setting. Although very tepid air came out the ducts on both settings.I changed it over to gas and although the heater got nice and warm still next to nothing out of the warm air ducts.Any suggestions ?

I have always found mine was pretty use less on 230 volts.  Far better on gas

We've always found that the heating works far better on convection than fan. The fan is sort of ok on gas, poor on Lecky and v slow. Convection on gas warms the van right up in about ten minutes or so.

Thanks a lot for really quick replies.......... Its just last year it got nice 'n toasty and even the end toilet was pleasantly warm during the night.Cant fault how quickly the gas heater warmed us up.

The hot air system only circulates the air in the caravan, so if the van is cool you will get cool air. Existing forum on this subject

DUST!

When we bought ours in October just last year, we found that the fan was badly blocked with dust and fluff.

Fooling the thermostat near the heating element that it was up to temperature and needed to switch to the low setting.

We had a similar problem with ours. Would run from the beginning on the high setting but quickly switched to low and would not switch back to high no matter what we did.

All it took to fix, was a hoover, slim paint brush and a screw driver to remove the rear fan cover and housing.

AND, the advice info off several peeps on here!  17
