We bought the caravan club snooper. Just used it on this trip to Newquay and well pleased with it. It even tells you the places where side winds are etc.

Had one a couple of years back but although quality of the product was excellent the software is nothing like as good as others.
Although they say their speed limits and cameras are the best in the business they not that good.
The one I had meant you couldn't put your own Pois on it.
Sold it on ebay!
We have been very pleased with ours. However last year it tried to route us from Pickering (North Yorkshire) to Berwick and despite double checking that we had entered details with the caravan it routed us down Sutton Bank. This is a very steep bendy hill which has been prohibited to caravans for years. Fortunately my local knowledge knew this but non locals would not.
I emailed snooper re this fault and have never received a reply which is more annoying than the software/mapping issue. Other than that and the expensive map update cost and lack of uploading poi's a good bit of kit.

I had one once, found it totally useless even took me up a dead end road, luckily the caravan wasn't on the back. It always seemed to be 30 yards behind where I was on the road, it told me to turn left once after I had gone past the turning. Wrapped it back up and had a refund.
i have a caravan club snooper sat nav a excellant piece of kit .The bigger screen is the better one if you have room for it 0n your windscreen The only problem it needs a bigger speaker so i connect it to a sound speaker that cures it
I have been thinking about this model it seems to cover everything I want. I have been looking on this site and there is free lifetime map and traffic updates.
We bought one of these as the deal looked so good through the camping club. What a shock we had, it ran out of power and would just turn itself off when it wanted to even though it was fully charged. You could not turn off some of the alerts when it was working and the screen was just not fit for purpose in fact is is completely confusing at times. Needless to say after a very frustrated 3 weeks with the offending item we rang and asked for a full refund and could not believe it when we were asked when we would like it collected with no arguements. Does that not sound strange? A full refund and free collection was given and we now have a fantastic Garmin from Halfords which was nearly £100 cheaper, easier to download all of the data and a superb screen/data. A far superior Sat Nav. We are experianced Sat Nav users travelling at least 50,000 miles between us each year so we know a good one when we see one - Garmin wins for us every time.
I hope this helps if you are thinking which one should I buy.
just paid £48 for TomTom camper and caravan maps to go on my Via 135, the in car satnav isn't the greatest - couldn't find ASDA in Inverness & we didn't have the Tom Tom with us. So we will see how the new maps work
We use Snooper and for us, its brilliant. Have read people say you can't load your own POI - must be something changed as we can and ours is over 2 years old.
We have travelled throughout Europe and found it great in Western Europe, have to say a bit more lacking in some of the Eastern European countries with not being as up to date but still more than good enough.
You can turn speed camera warning off when abroad, as with other makes so nothing different there.
Ours came with Camperstop, ACSI and BordAtlas all pre-loaded, more than enough campsites and camperstops to not need to carry books.
Everyone obviously prefers the model they buy, we have no issues with Snooper and would buy one again.
